I'm Officially Wiser... Or Maybe Not~

Pouick Last Sunday way my birthday. I hit the big 30. And I'm still alive. It was the occasion to gather some friends (Saturday night) and a part of the family (Sunday lunch). I think it's the first time in ages I officially do something to celebrate my birthday. Note that I would have skip it this year too if it was for my mom wanting to organize something at her place, my uncle who asked me a couple times what I was planning... So, since I was going to have something with my family, I could as well have something with some friends. I'm a bit shy so it's difficult for me to put myself in the middle of a bunch of people who are here just for me. Even if these are people I know. Receiving gifts is also a difficult part since I know everyone will be focusing on me and my reaction. But this time, it went pretty well. Saturday, I wanted to eat in this small Indian restaurant but being 12 people, they couldn't have us before 9pm. So I invited everyone at my place from 7pm for a drink before we all go to the restaurant. Doge & Titi, Swissknife & Zol (and their son/my Godson Aurel), Noémie, Sophie & Philippe and Talisker showed up. Felicia & Shini joined us at the restaurant. The food was excellent, as usual and the company was great. I just regret Zol had to leave because Aurel was cranky and wouldn't sleep. He's not used to noisy places yet. I received some presents too, it was really nice! Sunday was family day and the official day of my 30th birthday. We had a reservation at l'Auberge de Satigny with is a very nice place where you can eat pretty much whatever you want - from the cheap pizza to the fancy "pierrade". Were present: My uncle Patrick, his Regula, their three daughters, Laura, Tania and Judith, my cousin David, my bother, his girlfriend and my mom (all great people). We didn't have one of these stupid long table but a square table. So we could all see and talk with everyone. It was really nice! My uncle's family offered me some funny, some useful presents. My mom, bother and even my grandpa offered me what I wanted for years: A graphic tablet - the intuos 3 A4! I am extremely happy with that one! That is to be THE present of my 30th birthday. I took the Monday off so I was able to go and spend the voucher I had from my friends. I bought a load of drawing stuff! It was great! Tuesday, back to work. My colleagues had some presents for me too: two beautiful sketch books! And today... Well, there was this Valentine flash sale at my work... And I offered myself two very beautiful leather bags. One was CHF 75.- and the other CHF 150 (pretty much the same in USD). When I checked the retail price, I almost fell off my chair. They were at 585.- and 3'420.-! Wow! Talk about savings... I certainly know how to treat myself. Ha!
