Long Time No See~

Pouick I'm still alive! Stop bugging me for updates! I don't have much to tell anyway. So... Let's try to compile December news... • THE CAR I got my new car on 12/14. It has this weird 'bronze' color and is still as ugly as before, but it's now mine and I'm quite happy with it. The insurance saving is quite important so that alone makes me happy. Although, I'm still sad the old car is gone. Especially now that the snow shows up. Arh! I liked that car. Better get used to the new one. • HEALTH I dislocated my knee cap last year (+ knee sprain + broken ligaments), it took me forever to be able to bend my knee normally after that. More than a year later, my knee has still not recovered 100%. I still have this weird sensation in my knee when I take stairs or when doing unusual movements. It took me quite some time to gather the courage to make an appointment with a surgeon. The MRI didn't show much. There might be a little something with it would need an arthroscopy to find out more and it would be a little tough for the small inconvenience I have. So in the meantime, I need to go for some more physio and have to take some pills to help me built some cartilage. I have another appointment with the doc next month. I'd really like this knee thing to be over now. • FRIENDS, TRAVEL & Co. I was in Paris 12/15~18 (that weekend I had my car but wasn't able to enjoy it) to see some friends. It was nice. I had time to meet up with some friends I hadn't seen in years (6 years for Nadia, 2 years for Maÿlis, 3 years for Depaz) and it was just like old time, like we last seen each other the year before. It's magic when things like this happen. Anyway... I also met some new people, had time to sleep, relax and enjoy doing nothing. It was grand! Too bad I missed Angel. I had no news from her although she told me we would see each other that weekend. I tried to call her a dozen times, even left a message but she never got back to me. Weird... My friend Mey came to Geneva to spend Christmas with me. I took her to the Bains de Lavey which is a spa facility with outdoor thermal pools and all. It's surrounded by mountains and it's just magic when they are covered with snow. Unfortunately, we didn't have much snow but we had the cool sunlight... Sauna, hammam, relaxation room, bubbles, water jets and all... I think Mey enjoyed it very much (as I always do). As she was there for only three days and it was her first time in Switzerland, she wanted the traditional raclette and fondue. She had it. Plus the Christmas dinner. I thought I was dying after each meal. I must have put up all the weight I lost this year during these three days. Sad, really. But I survived! Christmas was nice, even though we were only six (mom, her boyfriend, bro, his girlfriend, Mey and I). We even had a present exchange and no one was forgotten. I was thinking of going back to Paris to spend the New Year's eve there, but my finances are not so good, so I might have to spend the weekend all alone at my place. Not really rejoicing. • BOYFRIEND Nothing to talk about. Still an empty file. Am I sad about it? Not really. I'm not really looking. I might not be ready to put up with anyone. I like my freedom. And maybe I don't have much good examples of really happy couples. I'm not envious. • WORK Not so good. The job is getting more and more boring and I'm getting less and less concerned. This leads to quite some mistakes and to a serious talk with my manager. Maybe I needed the kick in the butt. Let's see what happens next. That is all, folks! See you next time.
