Entries for August, 2005

Nothing~
It's amazing the things you can find around the Interdnet. Ad the number of quizz and survey and other things to... what exactly? What is the purpose of all these? As far as I can see blogwise talking, it's either for fun or to fill in empty entries. When you have nothing whatsoever to say, just dig for a good ol'quizz and you're set.
No offence to quizz addicts. You can sometime find actually funny things. I thank you for that.

Well, since I don't have anything to say yet as of today, here is my contribution to the Quizz & Funny Sh1t Associated:

[Jap TV] Heaven's Coins 2 - Die Sterntaler
Tonight's Japanese TV series was Heaven's Coins 2 - Die Sterntaler. First, since it's a sequel, we were a tidy bit lost but few episode and a couple flash backs later, we pretty knew all that needed to be known of the first season (I wonder how they made it last 12 episodes or so when they managed to cover it all in a couple flash backs...).

Once again, we were expecting the happy end. I mean, Dr Shuichi's wife dies giving birth to her child, Aya is not married, just engaged to Shuichi's younger brother... Everything was possible. But Aya's got principles, etc. so they did make it last 12 episodes. I'll skip all the drama about the young brother beeing paralyzed, the psychotic real brother of Shuichi and all the weirdos that gravite around our heroes.

Last couple episodes, we were almost there. Shuichi's younger brother recovered his legs, he realized he wanted Shuichi's and Aya's happiness so he let her go. Aya and Shuichi are getting married! Yoohoo we all thought. Hmm, that was counting without the Japanese series maker's twisted mind. OK, hear this!

Shuichi is ready to get married, he's all dressed up in his white tux and he walks out his hospital (why is he in his hospital the very day of his wedding?) but he realizes he forgot the ring (let's not start with the ring story) and rushes back to his office (WTF? He brought the wedding ring to the hospital?).
He takes the ring in his desk drawer but suddenly, psychotic brother rushes into him with a knife. Eek! Comes a nurse, she scream. Next we see Aya at the church waiting for the hubby-to-be.
Next scene, Dr Shuichi, who got stabbed in his hospital and had been witnessed as such by a nurse is in a cab on the way to the chapel. Again... WTF?!
So of course he dies just right in the chapel, falling before the bride who at the time is blind on top of being deaf (don't ask) and don't get what's happening. Have you ever heard of something worse?

I couldn't explain the stupid behaviour of this Dr Shuichi... I mean, couldn't he just delay the wedding? Jon came with this smart hypothesis: maybe all the doctors were at the chapel waiting to celebrate the wedding. Erh, riiight.

Anyway... The ending reminded me of something and now I'm pretty sure I had read a review on this Heaven's Coins 2 which was among the worse story ever. I have to agree. It must have been written by a woman hater. All the women were utter stupid. How stupid should one be to fall in love with one's rapist and follow him to the next city? Please!

Well, off to bed. I'll try to forget about this.
Swiss National Day - Fireworks In The Valley~
Yesterday was our national day. I didn't go out to celebrate because I had other things planned but on the evening I was at my bro's. He lives on the 22nd floor with a perfect view of the valley so we only had to open the windows to enjoy the show. Starting from 9:45 until 1am, there were fireworks everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE! I know in France, if you want to use fireworks, you have to get permission from the mayor. Not in Switzerland. Everyone can set fireworks, hence the huge fireworks display in the entire valley. At some point we could have experienced the noises of a battlefield. It was amazing! We even had one just beside our tower but we couldn't directly see it. Luckily, it was reflected on the tower in front of us so we enjoyed it all the same (even the sound). It was like the fireworks were coming from inside the building. Weird.
Chinese Name Mystery~
I work with people from Hong-Kong and Singapore and they all have these English-like names - Christina, Sharon, Agnes, Cecilia, Teresa... I figured they have non-English name for poor non Chinese speakers like myself. In College, I did take an Introduction to Chinese class once and the pronunciation was the big killer for me. So either Chinese people make it easy on us or they are sick and tired of people scratching their names hence the double name standard. A Chinese name and a non-Chinese name.

So I wonder: do parents choose both names at birth of does the kid gets to choose his non-Chinese same when he/she needs one? When I see some Henry, Ronald, Wayne, Margaret or Jean, my bet would go to the parents' choice. But when I see some Naomi, Wendy, Jen, Freddy, Raffy or Betty, I would definitely bet on the kid's choice. So at the end, I'm clueless.

I tried a quick Google search and all I've been able to find was a Chinese name generator. So hmm... I guess you'll be happy to know my hypothetic Chinese name.

Swiss Yodel~
I know very few people ever heard yodel songs in their lives... Today, I give you the great opportunity to learn how to be a good yodel singer. If you succeed and get famous, please send me an autograph!

Disclaimer - "I take no responsibility for the consequences of yodeling in social situations. This includes: lawsuits, strange looks, uproarious laughing, traffic accidents, major moves up or down in the stock market, divorces or loss of employment. However, I do accept full responsibility for the smiles and laughter the practice of yodeling might elicit."
Norm, 1996

Have fun my friends!

PS: Real yodel does sound much better. I'll try to find you something suitable to listen to someday.
Awesome News~
My brother has finally found a job! My mom just called me to tell me my brother started to work this morning! I'm so fu*king relieved, you can't even imagine. *does the Snoopy happy dance*

So the story is this... Two years ago, my brother was working with a sh1thead incompetent boss and he had the guts to say so to his big boss. Or course, none of his colleagues backed him up and he ended up being fired. [Few months later, sh1thead boss was fired as well for the very same reason my brother highlighted.]
Geneva is a small city... I suspect my brother suffered a bad review from his previous employer. He struggled with unemployment for 2 years. Two extremely long and boring years. At the end of the two years, you no longer get the government benefits. My brother was then hired by my former step dad (as a rescue plan - I asked my step dad for a solution and he proposed me this). But my step dad hasn't paid my brother for two months. My brother couldn't pay his bills and I was really getting worried sh1tless he might end up being expulsed of his place. And I felt it was my fault since I was at the origin of the hiring.
I pretty much spent the last few months worrying about my little brother and how could I help him financially and to find a job.

Well, my mom works in a building where a computer/phone company is located as well. She took the same elevator of one of the people from this company and asked him if they were, by any chance, looking for a computer guy. The dude said they were indeed going to look for someone as one of the employees left and wasn't good at the job anyway. My mom took the number and called my brother for him to call the company and get an appointment. He had the appointment this morning... and they asked him to start right away! Fu*king brilliant!

Now... family reunion tonight to decide of a plan of action to help my brother out with his two~three months bills he will have to pay. We will discuss it at the city fireworks for the official opening of the Fêtes de Genève.

Ha, ha, ha! I'm so relieved! Life's good, my friends!
Racism~
I want to apologize in advance to all people who could feel targeted or insulted by this entry. It is not meant to hurt anyone.

I was faced today with a weird situation. On of my colleagues - let's call her Maya - was outside yesterday evening and she was verbally attacked by a young male from Tunisia or Morocco... somewhere in North Africa. After insulting her two English-speaking friends, he basically called her a 'whore' and told her he would 'get her'. She was extremely shocked!

OK, so... According to American TV shows and from my own experience in Atlanta, GA and some areas in France and Ireland, this is quite a normal thing to face, at least from time to time. But for a Swiss girl who was born and grew up in a small town in Fribourg, this is highly unusual and utterly shocking. Really. It's like Heidi facing a werewolf. And honestly, a Swiss person from where she is from would have never said anything like this to anyone.

So this morning, Maya was telling about this rather unpleasant experience to a bunch of colleagues and friends. She probably insisted on the guy's origins and also joke on the fact he was from the same origin as one of our colleagues. I wasn't there but I can imagine. Knowing Maya, she probably talked before thinking. Marisa, the one colleague of the 'same origin' took it very personally and is no longer talking to Maya.

Maya sent Marisa a couple emails to apologize but she received no reply. At lunch break, we were with Maya at the kitchen and we saw one of Marisa's friend peeking. She obviously just checked to see if Maya was there and then Marisa and friends went to the other kitchen. This time, it was my turn to be shocked. Are we back in kindergarden? Jeez!

Maya felt really bad about this and decided to go and see Marisa and try to apologize again. When she came back, she was crying. Marisa had said really painful things to Maya. I don't have the details but seeing Maya crying was a heart breaking.

So this brings a lot of questions about racism in my mind. I had the chance to never have to face racism so I guess I cannot understand or imagine what Marisa had to deal with in her life and how she felt when a friend joked about her origins. But how can we define racism? How can Marisa think Maya is a racist when they had been friends for the last year? We all know Maya and we all know she often talk before thinking. It's the usual Maya.
Was Marisa hurt that much? Why? Did she felt insulted? Or did she felt ashamed of her compatriot? I just don't get it. They are friend! Shouldn't friendship be stronger than racism?

When should politically correct stop?
The Quizzies Time~
Just because it's Saturday and I have nothing better to do while my little brother stole my TV to play Zerlda Wind Waker... That's my bro... He's bored at his place so he comes to mine to entertain himself with my games and DVDs.

China: Guest Of The Geneva Festival~
I didn't know it but this year, China is the Guest of Honour of our Fêtes de Genève. I heard there has been some problems to make that possible because China wasn't respecting some things or whatever... politic stuff.

I've seen the China's Village and its artisans. The Embroidery of Sichuan just blew me off. There also Basket-work of bamboo, Painting with shells, Sugar painting, Chinese shadow theatre accessories, Modelling of flour figurines and Chinese Lacquer.

As for cultural exhibitions we have:
• The Kungfu Monks of the Shaolin Monastery (arh, I missed it!)
• Chants and Dances of the Province of Yunnan
• Women's Orchestra of the Province of Sichuan
• Opera & Ballet of the City of Xi'an

Sounds really interesting. I'll need to go down town to have a look.

I see last year Vietnam was the Guest of Honour. Jeez! I totally missed that. Where was I last year?
Pouick's Home Randomness~
I took my camera, wandered in my appartement and randomly shot away. What I wouldn't do to avoid housework!
I know, I'm terrible. Well, time to do my chores.

Religious Question~
No, no, no! I will not debate about religious matter on a large scale. Roy, Tallulah and boogiesan have already covered the subject pretty well. I am just wondering why the subject does not light any real interest in me.

I mean, I was raised as a catholic, I even spent a few months in a religious institution with nones and all. I remember I was very faithful as a child. I was bored during mass (all children are, right?) but I did kinda felt the 'spiritual waves' of my time spent in the church.
I passed all the catholic religious steps (baptism, first and second communion, etc.) until the age of 15.

I used to really try to pray and to connect to the spiritual side of me during mass but I was often distracted by other thoughts. I'm more of a daydreamer than a faithful catholic.

I think the last time I attended mass (other than Christmas) was when the TV came to our church to film the service (one church every Sunday). I went to church like every other Sunday with my mom and my brother and when we opened the door I was amazed by the extremely large number of people present that day. We couldn't even find a seat in our own church. All that because of some people who wanted to be on TV. I was disgusted. I turned back and went home. I did not watch it on TV. I don't recall going to church again but probably I did.

I also had a very, very bad experience with my aunt with who I lived for nearly 3 years. She was the ultimate faithful catholic woman. She was even giving Bible class and of course she was attending mass every Sunday. In private, she was an abusive woman. Not physically abusive but she had her way to put me down, humiliate me and make my life a living hell. All that only between her and me. To my family and to others, the was almost a saint.

Today, I can't say I don't believe in God neither can I say I'm a believer. I'm in between two world and I don't care. I don't need to put myself into one or the other category. I don't feel I'm missing out on something.
Package From Japan~
I was out walking with my brother and a friend yesterday evening when my brother asked me if I had any news of my friend Takako. I hadn't received any since the one letter I got few months back. It's not unusual, we often have blank periods (she doesn't have a computer) but I always get kinda worried when it gets too long.

This morning, I check the mail and I see the yellow slip from the post services. I had a package from Japan to pick up at the post office. Yay! That could only be Takako! So even though I was tight in schedule, I rushed to the post office to get my package then rushed to work so I could open it right away (have I told you I'm not the patient kind?).

She wrote me an extremely long letter (considering she's not very fluent in English and I can't speak Japanese) she started May 23rd and finished July 18th. She thanked me for the chocolate, the basket and the DVD I sent her (Japan 2004 - Our Trip), she told me her family and herself had a very good time watching it and they laughed really hard when they arrived at the evening we spent at Takako's family house. We played this game where you have to take turn to insert swords in a barrel where is a pirate and when you less expect it, the pirate pops out. The person who popped the pirate had to eat wasabi. And Takako's sister Mika ate a lot of wasabi that evening.

Takako also pointed out we had our 27th birthday this year and that we started to write to each other when we were 20. We've been friends for 7 years now. Impressive. Maybe we'll still be exchanging letters when we hit 80.
She told me she really wanted to come to Switzerland and also visit France. It's her dream. I can't wait to have her here!

She also sent me a few presents. I think the little rabbit will stay at work. My colleagues are used to my weirdness anyway.

[Jap TV] Hero~
This is the serie we are watching now. Hero is the story of a guy who comes from the country to be a public persecutor in a Tokyo office. He seems to be a weird young TV shopping addict with no talent but in fact, he prooves to be really good at his job.

So far, the story goes well with a variety of cases and situation. We'll see what next Monday brings.
I Hate To Depend On People~
Royaume related. We are seven members of the organization comitee and all of us have special duties. It should be simple, right? But no!

Doge is still waiting for Hicks to transfer the money to the Royaume account. Shark is still waiting for Doge to pay for the patches. Pearl and I are waiting to receive the patches so we can ship out the welcome packs... I swear, this is turning into some giant nightmare.

I'm thinking of all this time I'm giving away for this project and it makes me angry to see that I'm not followed by all. If you willingly sign in for something as huge, it's your duty to do your best at the job, right? Arh! We're screwed!
Statistics Are Fun~
I'm checking my statistics every now and then and it's always extremely interesting. One new country recently added itself to the list of monthly visitors: Azerbaijan. I didn't even know where exactly it was on the map before 5 minutes ago.
Someone from Finland found my blog with a Google search for JRock name generator. I apologize for the disappointment.

People from the above countries, you have my warm regards. Thank you for all the pain it must cause you to read my imperfect English. Well, at least you tried once and for that, you have my admiration.
Gotta Love IE~
I quickly changed a few things in my layout last night and didn't take the time to check the result on Internet Explorer (I use FireFox). It was really minor changes I thought. Well, wrooong! My layout is messed up in IE! C*ap!

I apologize to people who are using IE but you should know there is something better out there and it's free! Get it! Use it! Maybe one day IE will die.

Well… I know what I will be doing tonight.
Vacation, Here I Come~
It's official! I'm on vacation! YAY! I took my decision last Friday and gave my vacation form on Monday. No need to say I haven't had time to plan anything so I don't know what to do yet. South France? Resting? I don't want to stay home but I don't want to move either. Aaah, dilemma! If only teleportation would exist!
Meme Tag~
Jeez! I've been tagged! Thank you Dan. Let's see...

"List ten songs that you are currently digging... It doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they're no good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. 1. System of a Down - Chop Suey!
2. X-Japan - Crucify My Love

4. Billy Crawford - Cowboy
5. Garth Brooks - The Thunder Rolls
6. Sex Machinegun - Tekken
7. Utada Hikaru - Distance
8. Faye Wang - Sincerely Yours
9. NOFX - Kill All The White Man
10. Joe Satriani - Mind Storm

Tag time! I'm tagging Caz, boogiesan, Tatsu, Dodo and Roy!
I'm not sure you will follow and actually, you don't have to.
Smoke, People! Smoke And Die~
What is it with smokers and their precious cigarettes? If they don't die from smoking, they will die from occasional murder from exeeded people. Like me.

I kindly asked this woman to put her cigartte in the other hand and she replied: 1. no, sorry, I'm left-handed and 2. I can't, there's children on the other side.
So I told her I was a non smoker and couldn't bear her smoke and she just shrug and said there was nothing she could do.

B1tch! Put it down!

Message to all smoking people who might come across this entry: QUIT SMOKING! I's expensive, it stinks, it makes you sick, it gives you bad breath, makes you teeth yellow and ruins your health capital. And no! Holding a cigarette doesn't make you look cool.
[Movie] Unleashed~
Jet Li ~ Danny
Morgan Freeman ~ Sam
Bob Hoskins ~ Bart
Kerry Condon ~ Victoria

Synopsis: This is the story of Danny (Jet Li), a slave who has lived his whole life without any sort of normal human education, with the mind and personality of a young child, with only one lesson learned: how to fight. Treated like a dog by his owner/boss, Bart (Bob Hoskins) which includes having to wear a collar, Danny has been raised to be a lethal fighting machine. Bart start to make him fight in illegal gladiator-style fight clubs, where he earns lots of money for him as the undisputed champion. After a car accident that lands Bart in a coma, Danny meets a kind elderly blind piano tuner (Morgan Freeman) who uses music to teach Danny some things about the world and about being human...

Our version of Unleashed.

I was surprised actually. I was ready to put it away with the bunch of "dull action" DVD pile but I have to reconsider. I'm a very bad critic as far as movies go; I like almost everything. But for that one... I expected a full fighting Jet Li movie and I experienced something more. I'm not saying Jet Li is the best drama actor ever but he wasn't that bad as the lost boy in a adult body struggling to get in touch with the human part inside of him. Plus, he has a cute smile.

I enjoyed it very much and I will be watching it again, for sure.

Yahoo! Detective... Scary~
Scary sh1t! I received an email this morning from Yahoo! Photo. OK so, nothing weird yet. But they were saying that I hadn't logged into my Yahoo! Photo account for more than 6 months and that the policy was to delete all data if I didn't login before September 11th. WTF? I never use Yahoo. I had an email account maybe 6 years back if not 8 but never have I had use of a Yahoo! Photo account.

So I thought they were bullsh1ting me to get me to open one. I clicked the link (I know, it was a crappy idea) to confirm I didn't have an account there. I try to login with what I remembered of my old, old email account and… it worked. And what do I see? There's one of my pictures in there! Holly sh1t! I know none of my site/blog are a secretive things. But I am the only 'Pouick' on the Internet? How could they make a relative between let's say Pouick.net and 'misspouick' (that would be my Yahoo! old name)?!

This is the picture:

It was taken in Japan, uploaded to
my site and my site only.

I know I have memory issues but I did not use this Yahoo! Photo thing. I am really sure of that. Two reasons mainly:
1. I don't like Yahoo! and don't ask me why.
2. I have had my own space for a long time now and I don't need photo storage that's not my own.
I don't know how they do that. I'm not sure I want to know. If it's a 'discovery' thing set up by one of my friends… Remind me to kick their butt.

Edit* These [insert highly impolite word here] really took it from my site. It's the preview picture for the bigger picture... [insert yet another very impolite word here]!
Survey Time~
Yes, it's the I-have-nothing-to-tell evening. But I'm bored and I have this need of writing things, even stupid things (hoy, déjà vu striking!). So I found this survey on smashing_kitties' blog and here it is. Enjoy my ramdomness... not.

Pink Bath~
My project for a South France vacation is dead. My finances won't allow it, unfortunately. Once my brother's finances get better, mine will too. I'm not too sad. I have occupations at home (like... learning new css magic) and I can still go see my friend during my October vacation.

This morning I took a bath and used one of the Japanese bath salt thingy I brought from my last trip in Japan. The thing looked like this:

Tempting, hu?

I poured it in the water... the powder was bright purple! Seeing the water color, I wondered if I would end up all purplish pink if I soaked myself in it. Look at that:

The flash makes it lighter.
In real, it was more purple.

So hum... I did experience the bubblegum scented pink bath and I'm still alive. My skin is fine. Safe!

Oh and since I was bored I Frenchized my nails. Aaah, boredom!

Wow, that's a lot of pink.
Titanic~
I've learned a few things watching TV last night around 2am (?).

1. The Titanic was a few days late for its departure because the workers had to repaid another ship. Sailors say it's a bad omen for a ship to be late on its maiden voyage.

2. The Titanic was almost hit by the New-York when leaving Southampton.

3. The iceberg who hit the Titanic started its journey around the same time the Titanic started being designed/developped.

Weird. And this book... The Wreck Of The Titan written by Morgan Robertson.

On April 14, 1912, the huge "unsinkable" ship the Titanic was steaming across the Atlantic towards New York. This was the Titanic's maiden voyage, and her captain was encouraged to break the record for speed while making the voyage. As most people know, after striking an iceberg, the unsinkable ship went down in only a matter of hours. Out of the 2,201 passengers, only 711 were saved. Since then, there have been many books and movies about the Titanic.

There was one fictional story written by a merchant seaman by the name of Morgan Robertson. Robertson's book was about an unsinkable passenger liner that sank while carrying the elite people of the time. The ship in Robertson's story was called the Titan and the book was titled The Wreck of the Titan. Even though the book is fictitious, the events in the story parallel the events of the Titanic. Both ships were built to be unsinkable. Both ships sank after striking an iceberg. Both ships were on their maiden voyage. The most well to do famous people were on the Titan and Titanic. Only one third of the passengers on each ship survived. Both ships had an inadequate number of lifeboats. Both ships were encouraged to break speed records during their voyage.

Robertson's book The Wreck of the Titan was never published. Each time it was rejected by editor's, they told him the same thing. The story was unbelievable. Surely the events he wrote of could not possibly happen to an unsinkable ship.

The book, The Wreck of the Titan was written in 1898, fourteen years before the Titanic hit an iceberg and settled on the bottom of the northern Atlantic.

Spooky.
Tableless Layout~
I managed to finish my first tableless layout this morning (thanks Dodo for all your cool info). I can't show you cause it was just a test and I won't be using it for now.

Or maybe later cause I was recruited for the creation of a website (nothing serious - just for fun). I might recycle my first attempt. But since I'm not the only one involved it doesn't depend on me only.

It was really challenging since I'm not a coder and I don't speak Computer fluently. But I did it. Yay!

What a geeky vacation.
Preparing Fot The Weekend~
This weekend will be a airsoft weekend. Plenty of games, camp fire and sleeping in tents. Hoy exciteing! We're supposed to discuss a lot of things with a lot of people. I'm so in the vacation mood right now, I'm not sure I will be able to wake up early enough and think of everything.

Anyway... I shall bring pictures back. If I don't forget my camera. Hmm.
Airsoft Weekend~
I'm back from my weekend. I'm sure all I will remember from this weekend is... sleeping!

We arrived on the camp, built the tent, ate, prepared our things and off we went.

The first game was really confusing. There were two teams (red - us and yellow) and a UN troop. We had no clue what the rules were for the UN troop or the yellow team. All we knew was we had to take over Yellow's position and we could be shot three times before being out of the game. The Yellow shot at the UN troop and the UN troop shot at us thinking we were guilty. Hmm... Anyway.

We had two other games, pretty long and exhausting. We were on a new place: woods and mountain. I spent six hours going up and down the many hills, crawling and kneeling. No need to say my legs are killing me right now.

We spent the evening around the fire, sitting on wooden benches. My butt is killing me as well now. During the evening, Hicks (our president) came to talk to SwissKnife and myself because someone has told Delta (the vice-president who was organizing the weekend) that we criticized the G.I.F.S team and their organization. I swear, this is getting annoying. We (Rockets) are constantly the target of gossips and criticism. And for what? For being part of the organization comity for the Royaume?

Doge and SwissKnife told me already that they would decline any responsibility in a possible Royaume 2. And I agree with them. I will not be candidate for the work-hard-for-free-and-get-nothing-but-criticism again. I like our president and our Club but I'm tired of all this. I will finish the first edition of the Royaume and I'm done. I do enough already for our Club as it is.

Anyway... I was really worried about the cold and the wet weather. I remembered this one weekend at the beginning of the summer where I was so cold I ended up sleeping in my car. This time, I had extra clothing and blankets but I was still worried. I even invited SwissKnife in our huge tent so he wouldn't have to built his just for him alone when we had so much space in ours. I was mostly thinking of the extra heat. Ha!

Surprisingly, despite the constant rain, the cold and SwissKnife falling on me all night long, I slept really well. We woke up around 9, had breakfast without leaving our sleeping bags, had a look at the rainy sky... and went back to sleep until Doge woke SwissKnife and myself up to clean up and pack around 11:30. What a night! I think I had some catch up to do on sleeping.

That picture would resume
my weekend.

Jeez, I just removed a tick from my right arm. Ew! Major body check tonight before going to bed.
I'm A Psychopathic Killer~
I was watching a documentary about a well-known French murderer who killed five women in the 70's and was causing a lot of stress to the couple police departments in the area.

The killer was constantly teasing the policemen, sending letters and leaving evidence that were not exploitable. It lasted almost a year before the case was solved : the killer was one of the policemen.

One of the witnesses who was an officer at the time of the arrest had these words: "I realized... He is 23, doesn't smoke, doesn't drink and doesn't have a girlfriend... But what's with this guy? Surely something was wrong."

So there. I correspond perfectly to the profile. I must be a psychopathic killer except it's the boyfriend I lack.

Watch your back!
[Jap TV] Pride~
Gotta love hokey for that one. The hero is a very good hokey player and the girl of the story is a young office lady waiting for her long distance love to come back to her... it's been two years now. Arh!

Anyway, our two characters meet and they end up linked by a deal: pretend to be together as a game so they would keep each other company.

The story is set. To be continued...
Welcome...
... in my little boring world. More and more entries are friends only so feel free to add me as your friend and I'll add you back when I'm sure you're not a spy or a secret agent.
Earth Is Doomed~
Portugal is burning, Romania, Switzerland, Austria are drowning, Ice is melting, planes are falling from the sky... Planet Earth is doomed.

Switzerland: 6 dead/missing persons because of floods and landslides. Most of Switzerland is still under water. This is just scary.

I've had a conversation with someone last weekend about our planet's magnetism. Magnetism is created by movements in the magma and it sometimes is subject to alterations. He told me navigation maps and journals have been found proving that magnetism alteration has already been experienced on our planet.

Now this is scary too. Not that we still move on the planet with compass and all but what would be the implications on a magnetism switch?
Incertitude~
I'm thinking of reorienting my career. I'm not sure quite yet but I'm thinking about it. Really. It's a big deal. I don't want to rush things and take the wrong path.

Wish me luck, my friends. I will certainly need it for the coming days.
Exciting Evening Coming Up~
I invited three of my colleagues to my place tonight. Maria gave the idea we should celebrate the unhappy conclusion of our appraisals and I added we should get heavily drunk. I liked her idea so I invited a few people over. The whole thing transformed itself into a cocktail tasting/girl evening.

I can perfectly picture the four of us drinking vodka drinks and eating pizza while painting our nails, watching stupid drama on TV and gossiping about every stupid people from work. Why not a PJ party next time? I'm sure Elsie would love that!

OK, time to grab Margot and off we go!
Lesson Learned~
Never try to relax in a warm bath with a book when it's bath time for the little whining brat across the hall.

I got my revenge, though. They had high volume Marilyn Manson for fifteen minutes. Ah!
