| Ninjutsu~
|
This is a killer. I started ninjutsu last week. I thought it was a good idea to practice some kind of sport and this martial art seemed to be a quiet one. Wrong! It makes me do things my body is not used to do anymore and each lesson is a pain.
First time, we worked on the legs. Jumps, crouch, etc. I had muscle aches from my last airsoft game and I managed to terminate my legs during this class. I walked like an old woman for a couple days.
Second time, we had to do the class outdoors in a park. It would have been nice if the teacher hasn't decide to take advantage of the soft ground to make us practice "roulades" as a dodge technique. Last time I did such things, I was probably about 13. And the exercise is not as easy as it seems. I did something on my shoulder right at the first try. I finished the class anyway.
Third time (yesterday), counter attack. Attack the arm that's attacking you. Again, seems easy. But not when your shoulder still hurts like hell. Today my arms really hurts when I try certain moves. I always think about the worse things when it comes to pain but this time I pray it's only a muscle or tendons problem and that nothing's broken.
I'm still planning on going to the Friday class, hoping for my arm to get better until then. If it's still not good, I will have to skip and think about seeing a doctor. Crap! I hate it when I have to see one.
All that makes me realize I'm getting old.
